This week you have been learning about child abuse and neglect. Most people who have a job working with young children are what is known as a mandated reporter. This includes teachers, daycare providers, nurses, law enforcement, etc. It is important to know what actions are required if you suspect child abuse and be ready to take action as it can have penalties for you personally if it is found that you suspected abuse or neglect and did not report it.
