In Microeconomics we study how government can influence the economy through numerous channels such as taxation, spending, rules and regulations that govern the marketplace. In a democracy and market economy, the rules of the economy are set by laws. Voting is important in choosing representative, especially at the State and local elections. The aim of this project is to give you an opportunity to investigate an economic topic that is important to you. Identify a topic that is of interest to you which has or could affect the economy. Find out who your New York State Assembly and Senate representatives are who are in your districts. Research and find out what each representatives views are on your topic.
