Chosen poem slides: (5 slides total) Present your poem in the style of a poetry broadside, which is essentially the text of the poem along with a meaningful, well-placed image (Google poetry broadside if you need further examples to follow) If you’d like to draw your broadside, just take a picture of it and insert it into a slide You also may consider using a design website like Canva, but it’s not required Cite the source of your poem Compose a thesis (1-3 sentences) in which you make a defensible claim about how the poet reveals a complex idea in your chosen poem (Make this its own slide) : Choose three literary elements to highlight (3 separate slides) Include specific text evidence to illustrate each lit element; show what you’re referencing Discuss the effect of each literary element in the speaker notes or on the slide itself if there’s enough room Connect back to your thesis, thus developing a line of reasoning
