Directions:
1. Double space the entire paper.
2. Do not delete any of the section (Introduction, Analysis, and Recommendation) or subsection
titles.
3. Delete these directions and all of these directions and the instructions given below in the
[brackets].
4. Read the Guidelines for Written Case Analyses available on Canvas. Papers that do not
conform to these Guidelines will not be graded favorably.
5. The first step in writing the Analysis section is to construct cause-and-effect diagrams for
each major problem. When writing each Analysis section, refer to the corresponding cause-
and-effect diagram. For example, if high employee turnover is a problem, construct a cause-
and-effect diagram of all the causes. When writing the Analysis section on high employee
turnover, refer to the corresponding cause-and-effect diagram so that the Analysis section
covers all the major causes of high employee turnover.
6. Turn on Microsoft Word grammar checker before you begin to write. To turn on grammar
checker, go to the File menu and select “Options.” On the Word Options window, select
“Proofing.” Then check the box for “Mark grammar errors as you type.” For “Writing
Style,” use the pull-down menu and select “Grammar Only.” Then click on the Settings
button and check all the boxes under grammar.
