Write a research and draft an essay that places an author’s work into its literary movement. For instance, You will write a paper about how the author’s work fits into their literary movement. You will craft a thesis that lays out the way in which the author uses one of the characteristics or themes. For example, a student’s thesis might read something like: “Rebecca Harding Davis adheres to Realism through the character Deborah to show how character is more important than plot, ethical dilemma is key to a character’s development, and that a character and nature are interrelated. The essay should be around 1,200 words and use MLA formatting and citations. You are to have a minimum of four sources through the library’s database (You may have up to two from Dr. Campbell’s site if approved).
