In this study, Reinforcement Theory will be used to help the researchers explain necessary ideas applicable to the topic in conducting this study, since the objective of this study is to know how the implemented reward system determines on serving its purpose. Reinforcement theory is often used by individuals in the business industry. It is a psychological-based theory, the focus of this theory is the motivation or the consequences that drive the behavior of the people (Wigmore, 2016). Reinforcement theory was proposed and published by Burrhus Frederic Skinner or also called as B.F Skinner during year (1957). There are types of reinforcement where it can manipulate the behavior of the employees, these are the positive and negative reinforcement, punishment and extinction. ●Positive reinforcement- pertaining to positive rewards that resulted from positive behavior and that will drive the employee to continuously perform the good behavior (Prince, 2013). ●Negative reinforcement- pertaining to negative consequences that are caused by the poor behavior of the employee (Gordon 2021). This is something that is taken away in order to decrease undesirable behavior and to increase and observe proper behavior (Marcin, 2017). ●Punishment- this is putting up negative consequences when unwanted action occurs from the employees (Gordon,2021). ●Extinction- it is commonly providing an unbiased decision whether the employee shows great or poor action to avoid established action (Lohrey, 2017).
