Write an essay that will establish that the confidence and arrogance of Odysseus is a terrible quality and puts him and his companions in danger. Arguments that will be used are the encounter between Odysseus and the Cyclops as well as the lies he tells the people close him in order to test their intentions. During the encounter with the Cyclops, his arrogance led to his companions being eaten, and even after he escaped with his life, he was so confident that he taunted the Cyclops by telling him his actual name which we later find out was a terrible idea.
