Brief: We had several cases that we negotiated about during the class. The rationale behind these cases was to understand the challenges when negotiating. Requirements: The objective of the reflection report is for you to think about your performance in one or more of the class negotiations and synthesize one or two key lessons that you learned and want to retain from those experiences. The reports will be graded based on the depth of the analysis and how well you use class concepts to evaluate the process and outcome of the negotiations. Examples of things you might focus on are the following: (Write a review paper onan unexpected challenge that you experienced and how you might anticipate and deal with this challenge in the future; (b) a key lesson that you learned about yourself as a negotiator, and how that insight will be helpful to you in the future; (c) how you were able to apply a lesson from one negotiation to another, and how that lead to a different outcome. Strong papers have the following characteristics: 1. Analytical, rather than descriptive (not just a play-by-play of what happened) 2. Accurate and appropriate use of course concepts 3. Insight into how your personal style and behavioral tendencies shaped the negotiation 4. Focus – I will be looking for deep reflection on 1 or 2 key things, not a review of everything you learned 5. Novelty – I will be looking for new and unique insights, not just a rehash of what we discussed in class
