What do you think changes or does not change when race and African Americans are no longer the focus of a film? How do the films handle this differently? Use the Hip-hop Realness and the White Performer and/or the Performing Blackness reading to inform your analysis. Pick an idea from the readings and compose a thesis that compares/contrasts the two films. Your paper must also include a NEW academic article.
