The sociological analyst topic should be based on a social experience or a situation in your life: They should stem from either personal experience or some thing you have observed. Although you are writing on something based on your personal experiments, do not rely on opinion. Instead, attempt to stand outside the social situation you were analyzing and view the experience objectively as a social phenomenon. This requires applying the sociological imagination by using the concepts and themes from the textbook.
It is important to focus your topic do not try to use every concept or theme. You will have a clear, focus paper if you let me yourself to a thorough analysis of one social situation or episode. Use concepts and be specific – provide examples throughout the analyst. The examples will define the concepts and will provide a rich analyst. It is unnecessary and distracting to include quotes of the definition of terms from the textbook, as the examples will serve to define the meaning of the concepts. Also keep in mind that in a relatively short paper, you should limit the use of quotes in citations very cautiously includes material only when it truly enhances the paper and you absolutely can I get your point across otherwise.
