Professional Teaching Portfolio: 50 pts.
The purpose of the professional teaching portfolio is to communicate your knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and teaching strategies. The portfolio should include evidence of learning gained through your ECED coursework. This will include assignments completed in past courses as well as student teaching coursework. Assignments you choose to include in your portfolio should be selected on the extent in which it conveys your teaching.
Your portfolio should be organized into 2 sections.

Section 2: NAEYC Associate Degree Standards
A minimum of one example of your knowledge and/or skills for each of the NAEYC Standards for Associate Degree Early Childhood Professional Preparation should be included.
You may include examples from recent courses that reflect a standard as well as documents created during student teaching. Entries are expected to demonstrate what you know and are able to do as an early childhood professional.
Identify which standard is being addressed with each entry. Be specific as to how your example meets the standard. Summarize the standard and how the artifact represents your knowledge and ability. Examples should demonstrate your knowledge of children and your teaching skills.
