Pick ONE (1) piece of content from newspapers, magazines, online or social media sources, podcasts (my personal favorite), etc. to read or listen to that are aligned with topics and concepts discussed in the course. From this source, you will relate the information in that piece of content to specific hypotheses, models, and/or theories. Specifically, you will 1) provide an overview of the information presented in the piece of content, 2) describe the nature/sources of the information presented in the piece of content (i.e., results from empirical studies, personal anecdotes, expert or professional opinions), 3) discuss whether the content supports or refutes specific hypotheses/models/theories discussed in class (please note that you will have to identify and describe those hypotheses/models/theories in order to say whether the content supports or refutes them), 4) provide and justify your thoughts on the credibility of the information presented, and 5) discuss how the information presented in the piece of content has helped you further understand potential real-world application of information presented in this course. I expect that these points can be adequately addressed using 2-3 pages (double-spaced, Times New Roman, font-size 12).
