1. Introduction
This section should introduce the background of your study (why are you interested in this area), a statement of your real-world problem, contribution (how solving the problem can help people).
Then, you can briefly summarize what you did (the data you used, the results you get), and your conclusion.
2. Data summary
This section discusses about data. You should summarize the data you collected (where it comes from, how did you collect it..), how does the data look like (e.g. # of observations and variables), what variables you have (their definition), etc.
3. Data Analysis
This is the main body of your report, including:
· What questions are you interested in?
· How did you plan to analyze the data in order to answer your question? And why did you do so.
· Describe step by step on what you did for your analysis.
· Show the results using tables and figures.
· Describe the information in each table and figure.
· Do the results answer your question or no?
4. Conclusion
Summarize your conclusion, and discuss any potential issue and improvement.

Final Report Requirement:
Each student needs to identify an analytical question, collect data, process and analyze data, and interpret the results. The report should include the following items:
Problem statement
Please identify a topic/problem you are interested in.
In the report, please discuss the background information of the topic, what it is, why it is important, and what motivates you to study the topic.
Data sources and collection
Please collect the relevant data online. Google data search can be used. You must use at least 3 variables and 50 observations for the analysis.
If you choose to collect data using survey method, please be sure to collect at least 20 respones for a valid analysis.
In the report, please discuss about the dataset you collected, where does it come from, what features do you want to use for analysis, why those features are relevant to your question.
Data analysis and visualization
Do pre-check on your dataset for missing values and potential outliers.
Explain how you analyze the data – which statistics you used and why it may help you get information. You should apply descriptive statistics properly on the data variables.
Pick the proper charts to visualize your data. The charts should be relevant to your topic. Discuss the type of charts you choose, how you make it and why it is useful. You should include at least 3 different type of charts and clearly explain them.
Using Data Report to summarize the result and interpretation.
Make a Google Data Studio project (one or multiple pages) to display the numbers/charts you used for analysis.
In the Google Data Studio Report, please include:
The charts you made
A clear story line to link your analytical results to your topic.
Some discussion about the information delivered by each number/chart.
Conclusion
Conclude your findings by answering the quesiton: what did you get from the dataset after analyzing it.

Some tips:
While looking for your question, try to find a dataset with at least 100 rows, 5 valid variables which can be used for analysis (for example ID column does not count as “valid”).
It is better for you to propose a predictive or inferential question. “Predicting something using multiple variables” can easily meet all requirements of the report.
Always remember to contact the instructor if you have any issue. DO NOT wait until the last minute because late submission will not be accepted.
