Select a short Management in Action case (found at the end of each respective chapter) from the following: A) Chapter 9 Retention in the Nursing Profession, B) Chapter 11 Emotional Baggage at Away, or C) Chapter 14 Adam Newman’s Rise and Fall at WeWork. Other readings from the text are acceptable – almost any Management in Action case.
The questions at the end of each Management in Action short case are NOT the assignment here but can be useful in identifying models to be used in your presentation.
Develop an oral presentation in which you identify, briefly discuss and apply a Management theory or model mentioned in the chapter of your chosen Management in Action case. Give two principles of the model used here (to illustrate important facets or components of the theoretical concept or model and/or specific course concept from the case) and give an example of each.
Create a PowerPoint of 3-4 slides max using “talking heads” (PREFERRED OPTION) or use some other visual like a poster, writing on a whiteboard, etc., and make an unedited video.
Record an oral presentation of no more than 3 minutes in length. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO READ VERBATIM FROM NOTES, but you can use notes if necessary.
