I need to create annotated bibliographies of scholarship about one work and write summaries focused on the main points for this order. (historical, cultural, analytical, textual–whatever is most relevant to C P E Bach – Fantasia in F-sharp Minor Wq 67 (1787). I am writing about a `fantasia` so any details related to that genre, piano sonatas, C.P.E . Bach`s compositional style in th at period near 1787 (when the Fantasia in F-sharp Minor Wq 67 has been composed.) would be a starting point. I am attaching 12 sources but you could fit in whatever sources that you think is most useful for the task. I need bibliography list in right format for all 12 though. The actual questions is ; Please draw up a relevant bibliography of important scholarship on one piece (C P E Bach – Fantasia in F-sharp Minor Wq 67 (1787)), and for each item in the bibliography write a couple of paragraphs summarizing the most important information that you are extracting from it. *What is this scholar`s approach? *What problems are addressed? *What does one learn from reading this source? ———————————– This is a requirement/preparation step for an exam, so please use that as a marker point and focus on that points while looking for details in the sources. This below is the exam question that I am preparing for. Attached are two score excerpts, drawn from those that you have been studying. Take these scores as a point of departure for two essays in which you place each score or score-passage within a historical moment or as part of a larger musical and cultural development. Where does each score fit within the work (or oeuvre)? Supply useful dates and historical background. Then address significant stylistic features, questions of genre, formal or conceptual innovations, notation, text setting etc. Do feel free to choose the scope of your discussion on your own. The point is to write cogent essays that display your command of the musical traditions each piece fits into and of the scholarship around those pieces. Try to strike a good balance between analysis and history. Give approximately equal time to each essay. [Total Time is 3 hrs. 50 minutes]
