The student will present his philosophy of youth ministry in the following areas: Reasons for youth ministry – From the Bible, why should one minister to youth? Goals for youth ministry – What outcomes should a youth ministry accomplish? Put another way, what should a person leaving your ministry be able to think, feel, or do? Methods for youth ministry – What specific steps and programs will you implement to accomplish your goals of youth ministry? Standards for youth ministry – What standards/boundaries are important and necessary for you as you implement your programs and minister to youth? A minimum of one full, double-spaced page for each of the four elements above is expected. Imagine this as a “resume” for yourself in ministry. Someone reading this will understand you and what you believe with regard to youth ministry. A prospective employer will know what you will do in their ministry. Because of this, “first-person” is an appropriate style for writing.
