What is the role of culture in society? And why are there so many differences of culture within a single society? Answer these questions as you think they may be informed by a sociological theory/theorist of your choosing.
What are some of the social contexts (relationships, institutions, etc.) in which primary and secondary socialization take place? Who are the significant others – i.e., people whose guidance, example, or judgment matters – in these contexts? What do you think are the roles these two different forms of socialization play in a person’s development over a lifetime?
