Choose any ten body care products/cosmetics that you personally use (body care, face care, hair care, eye care, nail care, dental care, foot care, etc.- these could be lotions, shampoos, conditioners, creams, nail varnish, toothpaste, mouthwash, eye makeup, foundations, lipsticks, deodorants, perfumes, moisturizers, toners, lip balm, shower gels, colognes, etc.)
Look at ALL the ingredients in these ten products.
Now go to a variety of Ingredient checking, and Clean and Healthy Living websites/apps that provide you information about what is in your body care products, how harmful some of these ingredients are (concerns) and what their safety ratings are (different sites have different ways of classifying the ingredients- e.g. a lower rating of 1-3 is generally regarded as safe, mid rating of 4-5 is moderate, 6-7 is bad, 8 is quite bad and 9-10 is very toxic and dangerous). Find out how your 10 personal use products fare and how bad/good they really are, indicating the points of concern. Remember that there are several sites on the web that you can choose to explore for your products.
Your final deliverable is a table that will list the ten care products that you have chosen, their “culprit” ingredients that are deemed unsafe, their safety ratings, websites used to explore them and the concerns behind the culprit ingredients.
