Stick to the format. 2) Research topic must be provided 3) Introduction/Background: Provide a narrative describing the historical and current prevalence of the problem. Quote statistics where necessary and remember to include page numbers in the citation on statistics, and ″quoted″ information. 4) Problem Statement: Clearly define the problem; explain what is known about the problem (brief literature); and describe the uniqueness of your study. Remember not to reinvent the wheel !l! Your study can be unique in terms of (adding new findings to literature about xxx; adopting a different methodology/or, combining methods; or using a method that many studies have not used; geographical location of the population you are studying could also make your study unique, etc. etc. 5) Objectives/Purpose of the Study: List and describe each objective in more detail. 6) Theoretical Framework & Conceptual Map: Describe the theories point out key tenets of each theory. Then create a conceptual map and Instructor: Dr. Wakoko draw lines to show the relationships between Independent variables (IVs) and Dependent factors (DVs). If your study involves Intervening factors, include them in the map and show how they are related to IVs and DVs. 7) Literature Review: Follow the guidelines; use APA referencing style 8) Method (s): First the tell the reader what method(s) you will use. Then describe each method carefully, include key concepts mentioned in the guidelines. 9) Sample questionnaire (provide as needed) 10) Intervention Plan (IP) – This is your recommendation. Use the required format to enter specific information in each column. Feel free to provide an additional page with details but the table should only have specifics; do not include instructions in the table. Example: 1) if your intervention is to promote student engagement in learning. **Write a specific activity in the table, E.g. Create Discussion Forums; how many? 2) Budget: How much would it cost to create those forums? 3) Outcome: What do you expect to find at the end of the semester?
