Students should use scientific writing style, including relevant references from the research literature. It is recom- mended that students follow this rough structure:
– A short introduction to the topic, including any relevant basic anatomy/physiology
– Main body of literature review. This section may include subheadings to break up distinct topics within the text.
– A conclusion section, providing a summary of the research, plus ideas for future research.
– List of references.
Students may wish to include relevant images/graphs/diagrams from the scientific literature (these should be cited appropriately).
Your assignment will be assessed on the following:
– Ability to provide a comprehensive but concise overview of the research in the specified field
– Evidence of relevant wider reading. Incorporates references from the literature (please use Harvard referencing style, i.e. ’Author, date’ in the text with a list of references provided at the end).
– Demonstrates understanding of the scientific literature and ability to extract relevant information – Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using scientific writing style
