An excellent (“A”) paper will interact with and cite important sources (Scripture – every answer, historic catechisms confessions, i.e., Heidelberg,Westminster, etc. and/or various systematic texts listed in bibliography). Doctrinal position catechism instructions:Notice in the example below (from the Heidelberg Catechism) that the answer section is
complete (it answers the questions without leaving out vital aspects of the doctrine in question) and yet still succinct (usually not more than 3 sentences); it also provides solid scriptural support for the main points put forward. It is clear and instructive without being verbose. Writing a good answer requires that you think out how you will write it to include what is necessary in a brief, informative manner. Your task is to write out answers to the following 30 questions. This task ought to reflect what you have learned in class (lectures, notes, reading assignments). Indeed, these ought to be sources that help you articulate your answers. You will be graded on the basis of whether your answers are complete, succinct and well-supported.
