Locate some background information about the events being described from reliable secondary sources (books, peer reviewed articles, legitimate websites like the U.S. Holocaust Museum)
Write a 4 double spaced paper discussing and analyzing your primary sources related to the Holocaust, and at least 2 background sources that help you understand and interpret them (again: books, academic articles, legitimate websites, etc.)
Be sure to do the following:
Include a thesis statement outlining what you have learned from these sources.
What are these sources? Who are the individuals speaking, and what did they experience? Describe each of them.
How are these sources related to one another? What do they collectively tell us?
Tell us what these sources tell us about the Holocaust. What can we learn from them? (this can be your conclusion paragraph)
Tell us why these accounts of the Holocaust are important. Why are primary sources about the Holocaust especially important?
