Students will answer, in general but detailed terms (not specific to the cases discussed, rather a scholarly examination of), Should adolescent and adult offenders from dysfunctional homes be held accountable for
predatory behaviors due to the environmental challenges and influences associated with
their current or former homes? In other words, should offenders be able to mitigate or
escape responsibility/punishment due to factors of criminality associated with their
rearing?
