“Women’s status can be analyzed in many texts ranging from novels to plays to reflect their standing in the society they are written in. In society, it is often that men have the most influence over the way their society is governed while the women are to tend the houses. However, this may not be the case for all societies and there is a greater influence or challenge in the status quo for women. In order to show the display of women’s importance in society, the analysis of greek playwrights and American history can demonstrate the ability of women to change or affect their own standing.”
Sources that are used are from the reading from the class and she did mention “Do not insert quotations, but summarize the passages in your own words and cite the source in parentheses at the end of the paragraph”.
