demonstrate their knowledge of the concepts covered by developing a research protocol meant to alter the student’s own behavior. Students will identify a behavior that they would like to alter, record the behavior, and develop a strategy to alter that behavior based on the principles of behaviorism. The student will then report the results of the behavior modification technique. Instructions for completing the Final Assessment Project: Identify a target behavior that occurs multiple times per day (or that you would like to happen multiple times per day). This behavior should be one that you would like to increase or decrease the number of times that it happens. You will develop a self-management protocol research design (AB, ABA, etc.) based on the book’s desсrіption. Create a data collection sheet based off of the examples in the book (see Chapter 3). Collect data on your target behavior for at least 3 days to establish a baseline. Identify a behavior modification strategy that is likely to alter your target behavior in the desired direction (increase or decrease) and implement your modification strategy. Continue recording data for at least 4 more days to determine any change in behavior frequency or skill level. Turn in your data sheet along with a one to two page summary of your protocol. Explain what target behavior you selected, how you recorded and observed that behavior, what behavior modification strategy you selected and why, and what if any effect it had. Also note any issues that arose or improvements you could make to your current protocol.
