Select a historic city plan of your hometown to study its topography and land division as well as its street pattern and grids. Include ONE city plan, identify and trace its street layout (axial, gridded, or organic). Include a caption (100 words) explaining how the city was formed around its main institutions (city center, temple, etc.).

Please use this PowerPoint template that I uploaded to complete this assignment. Insert your image and write your caption in the PowerPoint template before saving a PDF file for submission. You must submit your file as a single PDF (no larger than 2 MB) under Assignment.
Tips:
– You can either hand trace the city plan (its main axes, its grids, or its topographic lines) in red, or, use digital tracing tools of your choice. After you are finished tracing, scan your traced plan and insert it into the PowerPoint template.
– In order to reduce the size of the PDF, follow this instruction: Before saving the file as a PDF reduce the PowerPoint file size by choosing File > Reduce File Size. In the box that pops up click the drop-down menu and select “Best for viewing on screen (150 ppi)”. Then choose File > Save As and in the box that pops up click the “Format” drop down menu and choose PDF.
