The purpose of this final paper is to explore the relationships between built environments and health.
The paper should cover the following sections:
(1) Select a community – location
(2) Background of the selected community – socio-demographic characteristics, policy perspective (identify how it represents an attempt to manipulate the built environment)
(3) Discuss the health-related aspects of the selected community and how built environments connect to public health– nature (green space or park), physical activity, food environments, social capital
(4) Critique it from the standpoint of health and suggest possible modifications that might strengthen the connection between built environments and health
The paper should be double-spaced, 12 point type, 1 inch margins and around 15 pages.
