1.) Pick one Shakespeare sonnet (can not be 18, 73, 116, 130, 138, or 145) and write an original sonnet in response to the selected Shakespeare sonnet. 2.) The sonnet must follow a traditional Shakespeare sonnet structure (fourteen lines, iambic pentameter,abab cdcd efef gg rhyme, etc), and be a meaningful poetic response to the Shakespeare sonnet. (If you really can`t do a Shakespeare sonnet, Petrarchan is okay). 3.) Then please write an explanation and analysis of the created sonnet. Explain the structure (rhyme, meter, etc), creative choices, meaning, and connection to the selected Shakespeare sonnet.
