8-10 page paper on parenting styles in the United States compared to Japan
I would only need 4 pages because I have to do a one page summary for 4 different scholarly articles and the other 4 pages I have to reflect on how it relates what we learned in class which I can do. The summarizing is what is difficult for me
Students will complete a major research project for this course. Each student will identify an area of intercultural communication in which they are interested (i.e. Mexican culture, English culture, Intercultural marriage, white privilege, South Korean perceptions of beauty, sojourner adjustment, teaching in the intercultural classroom, gay and lesbian parenting…). They will then select a minimum of 4 resources for careful review and analysis. These sources could be research articles, novels, interviews with individuals, podcasts, actual experiences (eg. visiting a place of worship) and/or films. This information will then be crafted into a final project including:
A summary of each article, interview and/or film. 1 page for each summary.
The goal is to provide a detailed and objective review of the information, not adding any personal evaluation and, as little personal interpretation, as possible in the Summary.
