For this assignment, you will need to select three careers that you are interested in. You will need to research your selections using solid resource materials (Wikipedia is not a good choice). Your paper will consist of information about each career and your personal reflection ranking the three careers in order from first to third and how you plan to achieve your goal. You are encouraged to contact Memorial Health Systems volunteer services to inquire about shadowing a particular area of interest. If you do this shadowing, they will give you a paper stating you have done so. Attach a copy of this to this assignment and you can receive 2 bonus points on the paper. 🙂
Submission of this paper will include a TurnItIn report. The TurnItIn website is designed to provide directions on how similar your paper is to the research you have done. It is a good way to avoid plagiarism. Your paper will have a colored flag next to it once you submit it. You can also see the report. Make sure your flag is not red. Green is preferable.

Topic research with at least 3 references = 10 points
Paper length (2-4 pages typed, 12 font, double spaced) Does not include a cover page and reference page = 3 points
Personal reflection = 7 points
Total = 20 points
To cite sources, you may use APA or MLA format. Personally, I use citationmachine.net to enter information and have never been “dinged” on a reference citation.
