2. Explain how an attorney-client relationship is formed and what information is protected by the attorney-client privilege. Are there exceptions to the attorney-client privilege? If so, what are they? A man is charged with murdering two people and is now the defendant in a double homicide case. If this defendant confesses he murdered the people he is charged with murdering to his attorney, can the defense attorney disclose this information to the police or prosecutor or is it considered privileged? What if he denies murdering these to people, but confesses to killing a different woman? What if he tells his attorney he plans on murdering his in-laws next month? Explain.
3. Identify the key similarities and differences between the physician-patient privilege and the clergy-communicant privilege. When would each be used?
