The Artisan’s of Theatre
1. For this assignment, please first go through and read/watch each of the videos in this module.
2. Take notes on what the designers say about their creative and production PROCESS in their area of expertise. You will have four Design areas in total in these areas:
Projection Design
Sound Design
Special Effects Design
Lighting Design
3. Now, scoop up all your notes and it’s time for some comparisons between the design areas. Look through your notes on each design areas and identify the commonalities and similarities in the design processes. What do the Designers say is important in their process of creating for the stage? Please make sure and reference the various Designer’s quotes and ideas. Be VERY SPECIFIC about which video you are referencing. How does that relate to the other designer’s viewpoints in this module?
Please make sure you have included a quote or idea from every designer on the list above.
This response does not have to be in APA or MLA formatting. It is not a formal paper. It does, however, have to be complete and reference all the design areas listed above for full points. Please keep it as succinct as possible.
4. If you were to become a Theatre Designer, which of these areas would you choose to design in and why?
