WORLD WAR II was the largest global war of all time, involving the majority of the world’s nations and all of the great powers. It was another time of new opportunity and new roles for women many of which, again, were not considered ‘acceptable’ for women at that time. Like the men of the era, women too had strong views regarding this war and sought ways to aid the Allied side in which the United States operated. Read your textbook chapter and listen to the recorded lecture on Women in WWII, then write a paper on an area in which women impacted and participated in the war effort.
