Mothering is a significant theme in this text. What different “mothers” do you see and discuss what role they play in the larger picture of the text (especially in comparison to a character like Peter Pan). 2. When Wendy first meets Peter Pan, she “felt at once that she was in the presence of a tragedy” (14). In what ways is Peter, the character, a tragic figure?
