This paper should respond to the prompt below.
Pick a pericope from the Gospel of John. What theology and meaning is John the Evangelist claiming? That is to say, why does John write what he writes about what Jesus said and/or did? If the pericope is unique to John explain its significance. If it shared by the Synoptics explain what that would signify and notice any changes John may have made and why.
The thesis statement (the last sentence of the introduction) should be the main theme/statement that the paper will be arguing about.
This is a Position Paper. No research is expected or allowed. The writing should be result of your personal reflection.
