Or, you could write a critical essay about the constitutional role and advisory powers of the Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia (Majlis ash-Shura). Or, you could write about the compatibility or non-compatibility of Sharia principles with Western notions of constitutionalism. Do any of these subjects sound interesting to you? If not, you are free to consider and suggest any other subject related to constitutional law issues in the Muslim world. I would be happy to help with source materials concerning the Iranian constitution and/or Sharia principles, but you will be in a much better position than me to write about the Saudi Majlis ash-Shura!
