For Part 2 of the Unit 05 assignment, assume that the new CEO has now tasked YOU, the Director of Ethics at TV&I, with coming up with a plan to improve the ethical climate at the company and to initiate any needed action that will be designed to prevent the occurrence of similar ethical misdoings in the future. To accomplish this, the CEO has asked that you prepare a Project Plan document outlining the steps that will need to be followed to improve the ethical climate and to create an ethical culture that will prevent ethical misdoings in the future. The Project Plan document should include the following: – A summary of the customer account scandal – A summary of the ethical climate found to exist at the time of the customer account scandal – An overview of proactive steps the company must take to improve the ethical climate – How and when the proactive steps will be implemented – Conclusion When discussing the ethical climate, you should incorporate your conclusions reached using either the Victor and Cullen or Arnaud Assessment tool (covered in Part 1 of the assignment). When detailing proactive steps that the company should take to improve the ethical climate of the organization, you should draw upon other concepts from Unit 05 or earlier in the course. This may include, but is not limited to, details on communication techniques, understanding individual differences and personality traits, leadership styles, guidance on how to respond to crisis situations, and/or the development of a Code of Conduct or other policies that will contain controls geared toward the prevention of unethical behavior.
