You’re asked to find and present a research article evaluating the impact of social factors on quality of life for individuals living with chronic illness and to comment on it as if you were participating in a journal club.

Some requirements for the paper you select:

The paper you present should be a peer-reviewed research report in which data on the question is presented for the first time. It should not be a review paper which reviews previous research.
The paper should be published no earlier than 2015.
The paper should be published in a peer-reviewed journal. Please do not present information from a book, a website, or another source that is not peer-reviewed.
One suggestion is to choose a paper that is relatively short, so you can review the main findings easily.

Some requirements for your discussion of the paper:

First, please provide a summary of the paper. You should comment on the authors goals, methods, findings, and conclusions. In your description of the paper, please provide images of data, figures, tables in the paper for the benefit of the viewer. You could do this by sharing your screen while you discuss the paper. Then, please provide your evaluation of the paper. What is your opinion of the research described in the paper? Do you agree with the authors conclusions. Why or why not? This is the I say component.
Please end your discussion with a reference slide, providing The extent to which your monologue highlights the authors; objectives, main findings, and conclusions. You should aim to provide a meaningful summary of the paper.
The extent to which you provide an evaluation of the article, pointing to areas of strength and weakness. You should aim to evaluate the paper.
The accuracy and quality of your evaluation, with higher grades for attempting to justify your evaluation (rather than simply liking or disliking something about the paper)
The effectiveness with which you convey your thoughts and ideas, including how confident, sure, and knowledgeable you appear in what you say. Be clear, concise, and illustrative.
The duration of your response, which should be between eight and 12 minutes and sufficient in length to do a good job.
