In a paper of 1100-1500 words, write a book review of Boyd’s Letters from a Skeptic. Be sure to cite the book abundantly, including page numbers, and use the following template: 1. For your introduction to the paper, first identify the author’s thesis, then provide an analytical statement about the author’s thesis. This analytical statement should reflect what you will argue throughout the rest of this paper. 2. Analysis: how does the author argue, defend and develop the thesis? Ultimately, to what conclusions does the author come? This portion of the paper ought to be 2 or more pages double spaced 3. Synthesis: How does the author’s perspective compare or contrast to what you have learned from other sources in this course (lectures, other readings, etc.) (Compare/contrast this to the previous book Simply Christian and to Chapter 2 & 3 of readings from textbook, “How to Think Theologically.” 4. Reflection: What new things did you learn from the book and what issues did the book leave unresolved for you?
