Write a brief (200-300 word) informal response. These responses are designed to spark some ideas about the texts and plant seeds for our class discussions. They’re a place for you to begin to think about the material and start developing the germs of an argument that may inform your papers or projects. These are low stakes assignments – they’re not meant to be burdensome (you don’t necessarily have to respond to every point or question raised) but instead to help you prepare for discussions, organize your responses, and help draw out some of the larger themes of the class.
