Politics and Voting Video Project.

You have chosen a political category that we will be voting for in the next election. For this project, you will research the people running for that office and create a 3-5 minute video using Adobe Spark to highlight each candidate′s strengths and weaknesses based on what you’ve read. You are only comparing and contrasting candidates in one category, so choose president, congress, or judges. It is important that you have the skill of paraphrasing and summarizing texts. Put the information from the articles in your own words, and give credit to that source by saying something like “According to Ballotopedia.com, this candidate…” You can also simply paraphrase the information and put the website in parenthesis at the end of the sentence just like this (Ballotpedia.com). Finally, you MUST put the links to all sources you used for your project on the last slide. Remember that Adobe Spark Video only works on the Google Chrome browser. If you do not have that browser on your computer, you can download it here: https://www.google.com/chrome/?brand=CHBD&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5eX7BRDQARIsAMhYLP8OQ6oX8bpUD2th1QGl78RsEiXwvoSDgos0SV5UUiejAvfXHtEW4L0aApl1EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds. How to submit: When you are finished editing your video, you will click the “Share” button in Adobe Spark to get your link. Make sure you are finished editing before you submit your link. Every time you edit your Adobe Spark video a new link is created. Once you have your link to your video, you will find “Politics and Voting Video Project” assignment in Blackboard and click it. You will scroll to the bottom and paste your link in the “Comments” box. In the event you have an issue pasting your link, simply click “control v” and it should appear in the box. Grammar Requirements: Every sentence should be a complete sentence with a subject, a verb, and it should express a complete thought. There should be a period or some type of end punctuation (question mark or exclamation point) at the end of every sentence. If you fail to put end punctuation at the end of every sentence, that means you are writing run-on sentences, and that will significantly lower your grade. Sentence Variety Requirement: In each paragraph, you must include at least 1 simple, 1 compound, 1 complex, and 1 compound-complex sentence. A simple sentence has 1 independent clause. A compound sentence has 2 independent clauses connected by a semi-colon or a comma and a coordinating conjunction. A complex sentence has 1 independent clause and at least 1 dependent clause. Remember, the dependent clause always starts with a subordinating conjunction. A compound-complex sentence has 2 independent clauses and at least 1 dependent clause connected properly with punctuation, coordinating conjunctions, and subordinating conjunctions. Remember, when you start a sentence with a dependent clause, always put a comma in between the dependent and independent clause. However, if you start a sentence with the independent clause that connects to a dependent clause, you don’t need a comma. Examples: After she graduated from college, she became a full time artist. She became a full time artist after she graduated from college.
