Make a list of keywords that you find from reading – Seek to discuss why these might be of importance – Discuss on the wider perspective of the authors – what is it that you think they are trying to get at? Feel free to brainstorm Try to paraphrase the definitions and make reference to the authors and place them into citations as we discussed in my presentation to you. You need to: – Be diligent to understanding and reproducing the main idea – Identify how close or distant your description is if it was read by a third party Produce a section on how leadership is dependent on different factors/elements. It is dependent on the individual leader, the conditions of an organization, and the vision to which the leader wants to take the people into. You need to: – Discuss the connections that you understand authors are making with regards to leadership. These include the external environment, the internal environment, structure, policies and procedures. – There is great emphasis on how leadership is closely associated with a vision. Discuss how and why this connection is made in the literature. Discuss the importance of what is meant by a leadership perspective. Produce a discussion about the importance of followship and how individuals come to identify with certain features/qualities that can be person-specific as well as outcome specific.
