Part 1:Try to imagine their thoughts, feelings, and words as they discuss this incident. Be realistic. Write what you think they would actually say and do. The words and action of the characters should illustrate concretely at least five tasks of the Communication Tasks of Forgiveness (CTF) model (Chapter 5). Your dialogue should show how forgiveness might be possible in this situation. What would need to happen, to increase the chances for a forgiving outcome?
Part 2: After each back-and forth exchange add your own commentary. Use at least 5 of the Communication Tasks of Forgiveness (CTF) model (Chapter 5) as you analyze what they are saying, thinking, and feeling. Make sure you think about the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation? Do you see forgiveness happening here? Reconciliation? Or both?
Grading criteria:
You will be graded based on these three criteria (10 points each): (1) providing realistic dialogue that concretely illustrates at least five forgiveness tasks in actions and/or words (2) accurate use of at least five tasks of the CTF, (3) carefully edited written communication.
Attached is a sample version of what the dialogue could look like.
