1) The speech needs to be 3 minutes total (max 4). 2) The speech needs to have 3 main points 3) The speech needs to answer the question: Why are YOU the best person for the job? (the job I want is a civil rights lawyer, so this speech is supposed to be me applying for a job at a law firm after I`ve graduated law school) 4) The speech should include a “scene-setting” – tell us the job you are interviewing for so we know what to expect (this should take 15 seconds or so). 5) The speech needs to have an introduction (the tell me a bit about you part) and a clear conclusion – a final reminder as to why YOU are the best!
