Selected Company: Law FirmTo put things into context, the law firm I work for does not have a proper process, procedure, and framework on how to prioritize key accounts and focus on further developing the relationship with key clients, obtaining more business by selling other services to them and protecting and safeguarding the relationship from competitors. The working relationship was maintained in an old fashioned manner whereas they rely on the fact they are an old client and have been with us for a long time, and keep giving us work, and their others that have been with us for a long time do generate us revenue; however given the size of the client (business), more revenue can be made if properly focused on, and things were done in a more appropriate manner.Similarly, with the target client, when receiving an RFP or RFQ, the firm puts in the effort to produce the technical and financial proposal, making sure they meet all requirements, ensuring submission within the deadline, and adding an extra offering to add value to the proposal. But, after all that effort, there are no proper follow-ups. If the bid is lost, there is no inquiry into why it was lost, proper tailoring to the client’s industry and needs, etc.Instructions:Managing Change: Retrospective Analysis or Prospective Change Plan – The remainder (90%) of your evaluation will be based on an individual assignment for which there are two options: (1) an individual analysis of a change that took place within a current/prior workplace; or (2) or a strategic change that you would like to implement in a past/present workplace. Your goal for either option is to use readings and concepts that we discussed in class to develop a cogent, nuanced analysis. You have 2500 words (this is strict – no 10 percent leeway) for your assignment. Make sure, in your assignment, that you:· Briefly describe the organizational context, and the type of change you are analyzing.· Ground your analysis of past change efforts/future change plans in relevant frameworks and concepts from the course – focusing on the frameworks and concepts that you judge to be applicable to analyzing the situation.· Include analysis of barriers to change that hampered past initiatives, and may hamper the plan you propose· BE CREATIVE – there is no clear answer to this, and no formula to apply. This is a chance to think about how you would actually lead change, and which concepts and theories are most helpful in guiding your potential actions. In grading your assignment, I will bear in mind the following questions:· Do you provide a compelling analysis, drawing on materials from the module· Would a reader who never took a change management class be able to understand the frameworks and concepts that you draw on in your analysis?· Do you provide a compelling justification for why the frameworks you chose are appropriate for analyzing/planning your organization?· Does your paper follow a logical structure of argumentation?· Is your plan for change specific enough to be useful?· Is your paper clearly and professionally written and proofread?Comments from CustomerDiscipline: Managing Strategic Change
