thesis, that is then developed with explication of textual evidence. Please review all Unit 2
materials, especially Essay Basics and Sample Outline document, How to Structure a Literary
Analysis Thesis, and Sample U2 Essay. (Writing a thesis and topic sentences should be review
from 1101; we’ll be doing the same type of writing all term, so get on track now.)

You must cite the primary text (story) in correct MLA format with parenthetical citations and a works cited page.
Your final revised essay must be between 900 – 1200 words in correct MLA format (about 3-5 pages)
