You are part of a management team for a sport event. You have been tasked with recruiting sponsors for your upcoming event. As a team, you will work together to create a sponsorship proposal for your upcoming meeting with a sponsor. You must submit a written sponsorship proposal to the potential sponsor. For this assignment, your team has the exciting opportunity to choose the sport event that you would like to be the Event Management Team for. Once you have selected your sport event, you must also select your sponsor to whom you will be targeting your proposal to. With this freedom, I encourage you to be creative, pick a sport event that interests you and ensure your event and sponsor are a good ‘fit’ in order to ensure a successful partnership. Research and select one sport event to be the management team for. Must be a real sport event, cannot be made up. Therefore, your research on the events audience etc. must reflect a real sport event. Must be a small to medium sized event to keep it feasible. (i.e., cannot choose the Olympics or Superbowl). Canadian sport event would be preferred, but not required.
