Researching single-use plastic alternatives that are locally compostable, so paper and fiber based items, ideally from more sustainable materials (i.e. sugarcane ramekins, paperboard coffee cup lids, etc). This could be accompanied by research on financial policy mechanisms that can influence behaviour, so for instance, additional costs put on takeaway items like paper coffee cups & lids to disincentivize the use of these items. Single-use items can include cutlery, plastic ramekins, plastic coffee cups, plastic containers, and other forms of plastic packaging.
