Discuss on misrepresentation of Muslim women in the show ELITE.Things to be fixed:

• Don’t explain what is happening in the scene. Only use the space to analyze how the scene is misrepresenting Muslim women as they are “weak, oppressed. by their parents and that they need to be “free” by removing their veil, and this does not represent that muslim majority.
• remove the scenes that are were analyzed in the paper and instead, analyze the following scenes:

they show a scene of her dad that he is strict and she lies to him showing muslim families as very strict and girls needing to lie about their lives to obey their parents.
– season one episode 1 (10:49)
the school principal tells her that scarf is not allowed in the campus and that she should remove it before entering the school (so she goes back home wearing it and goes out of her house wearing it so that her parents are strict and they are forcing her to do so) she only removes it when she arrives on campus
– season one episode 3 (11:35) she tells him “why are you here my father is in the back”
this also is a scene showing that her parents are strict and that her ‘male” friend shouldn’t be there

Nadia is showing at the club without her veil and this shows that she decides to be free now and does whatever she wants as long as she is not near the eyes of her parents
