Task/Objective: Create a resume and cover letter. I have included resources about me along with my current resume that will aid in this process. Please ask me any questions needed to make the resume. ———————————- This is the general state and criticism of my current resume (included in sources): I have been told that for a professional with 5 years of experience, my resume undersells me. This is the most important tool in my job search and it needs to communicate my expertise, unique experience, accomplishments, and career goals. THE MAJOR ISSUES HOLDING MY RESUME BACK ARE: Use more bullet points to call out accomplishments. Your resume should contain at least 2–3 bullets for each job in your work history. Show the outcomes of your efforts. Your resume focuses too much on what you`ve done, not what you`ve achieved. Your resume does not make a strong visual impression. Your resume should appear clean, uncluttered, and appealing to the eye. The resume needs to be Professionally written, formatted for success, and Keyword optimized Visual Presentation and Organization my design is visually uneven. It needs to be more polished, something more fitting to my experience level. I need bullet points to increase the impact on the employer. If employers see too many long sections of text, they might find it difficult to zero in on the most crucial information. The size and type of bullets should also be taken into account. Resume Writing I need to include a career summary in my resume (Use uploaded resources included to help): I need to be perceived as a "doer," as opposed to an "achiever." A few too many of my job descriptions are task-based and not results-based. This means that they tell you what you did, instead of what you achieved. To be effective and create excitement a good resume aids the hiring executive in envisaging you delivering similar achievements at his or her company. Here are some examples of task-based sentences in my resume: “Handling and adjust medical claims and coordinating with doctors, billing departments etc” “I beta tested virtual desktop environments for our tech team and often coworkers use me as a go-to for technical support” Employers want to learn about my previous achievements and specifically how I`ve helped make an impact. More importantly, they want to know how I am going to make a significant difference in their organization. I need to have active language that brings my work to life. Instead of passive words and non-action verbs. Phrases like “Handling” and “Assist” are monotonous, overused, and add little value to my resume. Strong action verbs, used with engaging language to outline outstanding achievements, are essential parts of a soundly-built resume.
